TikTok pays about $400 to $1,000 for 1 million views, and only if all million are qualified views on videos in the Creator Rewards Program. TikTok publishes no fixed rate, so that range comes from payouts creators have reported. The view count under your video is not the number it pays on.
A million views on a 45-second clip earn $0, because only videos of one minute or longer are eligible. The same million on a 90-second video does pay, usually below that range, since a share of those views won’t meet TikTok’s definition of qualified.
How much TikTok pays for 1 million views, worked out
Creators in the Creator Rewards Program report $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views, so 1 million qualified views pays $400 to $1,000. A June 2026 analysis of creator-disclosed payouts came out close: $362 to $1,035 per million, averaging about $807.
Measured against total views rather than qualified ones, the number drops. One 2026 benchmark puts a typical mixed catalog at $250 to $350 per million.
| Your 1 million views | Qualified views | At $0.40 per 1,000 | At $1.00 per 1,000 |
|---|---|---|---|
| On a 45-second video | 0 (under 1 minute) | $0 | $0 |
| On a 90-second video, half qualify | 500,000 | $200 | $500 |
| On a 90-second video, 80% qualify | 800,000 | $320 | $800 |
| Every view qualifies | 1,000,000 | $400 | $1,000 |
Your real split is in TikTok Studio, where the Creator Rewards dashboard shows qualified views and RPM for each video. After a few months of data, trust those numbers over any average, ours included.
Why TikTok’s pay per 1,000 qualified views varies
The rate moves with who is watching and how long they stay. TikTok calls it RPM (gross revenue per 1,000 qualified views), and since a spring 2025 update it pays rewards in two parts.
- Standard Reward: the base payout on qualified views. TikTok says it depends on where your viewers are and the language of your content.
- Additional Reward: a bonus for quality, judged on average watch time, retention, completion rate and search value. A video that doesn’t earn it gets the base rate only.
In creator-reported data, location is the biggest swing. One 2026 benchmark puts US audiences near $0.85 per 1,000 qualified views and Brazilian audiences near $0.32. Finance and business content also beats entertainment in the same data.
The old Creator Fund (2020 to 2023) was widely reported to pay $0.02 to $0.04 per 1,000 views. Today’s reported rates are 10 to 50 times that, but only on videos of a minute or more.
What counts as a qualified view on TikTok
As of 2026, TikTok’s Creator Academy counts a view as qualified only when all six of these are true:
- It comes from the For You feed, or from Search with at least 30 seconds watched.
- The viewer watches for at least 5 seconds.
- It’s the first view from that account. Rewatches count once.
- The viewer didn’t tap “Not interested.”
- The viewer is in a program country: the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Mexico or Brazil.
- It isn’t fraudulent, paid, promoted or sponsored. TikTok says even views from its own View Boost Benefit don’t count.
Read literally, that rules out views from your profile grid and the Following feed, and every view from outside those eight countries. A UK creator whose clip takes off in India can pass a million views and see only a small slice qualify.
The views must also land on an eligible video: original, at least one minute long, not a Duet or Stitch, not made in Photo Mode, and not an ad or sponsored post. Each video starts earning only after it reaches 1,000 views on the For You feed.
How many followers you need to get paid on TikTok
You need 10,000 followers to join the Creator Rewards Program, plus 100,000 video views in the last 30 days. The other requirements, as of 2026:
- Be 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live).
- Use a Personal Account. Business accounts and political or government accounts aren’t eligible.
- Live in one of the eight program countries above, with the account registered there.
- Keep the account in good standing with the Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
TikTok’s US terms word the thresholds as “10,000 authentic followers” and “100,000 authentic total video views.” Bought followers and views are what that word is there to exclude.
If you’re still short of 10,000, our guide on how to get more followers on TikTok covers seven tactics, from numbered series to answering comments with video replies.
Money moves slowly once you’re in. Under the US terms, rewards are calculated the month after you earn them and paid on the 15th, once your balance reaches $50. At 300,000 qualified views a month and $0.60 per 1,000, that’s $180 a month, well over the minimum.
Why bought views and followers earn nothing from TikTok
TikTok excludes bought engagement from its payout math at two levels. The qualified-view rules drop fraudulent and paid views, and the US program terms drop any metric TikTok decides was “artificially produced or obtained” or “paid or incentivized.” That covers views and followers from any growth service, Socialbot included.
The risk goes beyond earning zero. In the same terms, creators agree not to use any method that artificially increases views or interactions, including to inflate follower counts. TikTok’s Creator Academy lists artificial engagement among the reasons an account becomes ineligible, and a creator terminated for cause can’t re-apply and forfeits unpaid rewards.
Outside the program, TikTok’s Community Guidelines let it strip inflated counts it detects and restrict accounts that try to game the platform. Buying engagement isn’t illegal, but it is against TikTok’s terms.
For an account nowhere near the program, bought engagement does one job, and it isn’t income. It changes the first impression: a recipe at 9 views and one at 2,400 get different snap judgments from someone deciding whether to give it five seconds. For that job, you can buy TikTok views on Socialbot that start within 15 minutes and arrive at up to 100,000 a day, or buy TikTok followers that start within 3 hours at up to 5,000 a day with a 7-day top-up.

Other ways TikTok pays creators besides views
TikTok lists five more ways to get paid, and brand deals and LIVE Gifts can both open well before 10,000 followers.
| Income | Who can use it | How the money works |
|---|---|---|
| LIVE Gifts | 18+ to go LIVE and to receive Gifts; follower minimums have varied by region | Viewers send Gifts bought with Coins; you collect Diamonds and withdraw them as money |
| Subscription | 18+, 10,000 followers, 100,000 views last calendar month | A monthly fee you set ($2.99–$99.99); you keep 70% after app store fees, up to 90% with a bonus |
| Series | 18+, 10,000 followers, account 30+ days old, 3 posts and 1,000 views in 30 days | Viewers pay to access a collection of up to 80 videos |
| TikTok Shop affiliate | 18+ with an audience; check Shop for the current follower minimum in your country | Commission on products sold through your videos and LIVE sessions |
| Brand deals on TikTok One | 18+, supported region; projects start at 1,000 followers | Brands pay for branded or sponsored posts |
LIVE Gifts have no fixed cash value
Gifts convert to Diamonds at a rate TikTok sets, and you see the cash rate only when you withdraw, so no Gift has a fixed dollar value to you. The follower minimum for LIVE has varied by region; our guide on how many followers you need to go live on TikTok has the current picture.
TikTok Subscription and Series
Both are paid for by fans, not by TikTok. Subscription is a monthly fee (TikTok’s default is $5.99) for perks such as subscriber-only videos and custom stickers. Series sells access to a set of up to 80 videos, each up to 20 minutes, which suits tutorials and step-by-step recipes.
TikTok Shop and brand deals
Shop affiliate pays commission on sales from product links in your videos and LIVE sessions, and you never hold stock. Brand deals run through TikTok One, where projects start at 1,000 followers plus whatever the brand asks for. A 2,000-follower account reviewing kitchen gadgets can take TikTok One projects long before it qualifies for Creator Rewards.
How to earn more per 1,000 views on TikTok
You earn more per 1,000 views by holding viewers longer on videos that clear the one-minute bar. TikTok names what feeds the rate, and these six inputs are in your hands:
- Clear one minute with room to spare. A recipe trimmed to 58 seconds for pace is a video TikTok won’t pay for, however well it does.
- Earn the first 5 seconds. Shorter views don’t qualify, and opening with a hook is part of TikTok’s own advice for the Additional Reward.
- Hold people past the 30- and 60-second marks. TikTok measures retention at set points up to 90 seconds, alongside average watch time and completion rate.
- Make videos people search for. Search views count once someone watches 30 seconds, and search value feeds the Additional Reward. Creator Search Insights shows what people are looking up.
- Post original work in 1080p or higher. Reposts earn nothing, and TikTok asks for 1080p for the Additional Reward.
- Stay clear of violations. Five video violations in 30 days make an account ineligible, and five account violations rule it out for good.
All of this assumes the views are coming. If they aren’t yet, our guide on how to get more views on TikTok starts from zero and works up.
