Where X likes go and how fast they arrive

They go to one post. You paste that post's link, set an amount, and the likes land under it. Nothing touches your profile and nothing appears on your other posts, so you can put likes on the one thing you want read and leave the rest alone.

Six hours is slower to start than views, and that is the trade we took on purpose. When to start likes on a post

Because they begin within 6 hours rather than minutes, likes are not the thing to reach for when a post is already climbing. Start them when you publish and they arrive through the rest of that day, which is the window where the number is doing its work on anybody scrolling past.

For a post you are building towards, such as a launch or an announcement you will pin, start the likes the moment it goes up rather than waiting to see whether it moves on its own. A pinned post is read by everyone who visits the profile afterwards, so the number under it keeps earning long after the day it was posted.

Starting one takes a few seconds. Copy the post link from the share menu, open the X account in your dashboard, press Create instance, pick Likes, paste the link, set the amount and press Start instance. You can close the tab straight after.

How many likes a post should have

The only number anyone reads likes against is the view count directly beside them. X shows both under every post, which makes the ratio the giveaway rather than the amount. A post with two hundred likes and four hundred views is a stranger sight than one with two hundred likes and twenty thousand.

• Under a normal post of yours. Look at what your last ten posts got and add enough to reach the top of that range, not ten times it.
• On a post with bought views. Keep likes somewhere near 1% of the views. Fifty thousand views with twelve likes reads worse than either number alone.
• On a pinned or launch post. This is where a larger number earns its place, because it is read by every profile visitor for months.

Starter weekly's 500 likes covers a few posts a week at that shape. Pro weekly's 1,500 covers a daily poster, and Elite's 5,000 is the level for an account running several posts a day or an agency working across accounts.

The 30-day top-up on X likes

If the like count on that post drops inside 30 days of the batch landing, the shortfall is sent again at no extra cost. You do not have to ask, and there is nothing to claim.

Thirty days is the window, and after it a drop stays. We publish the number rather than saying drops are covered, because a promise with no window attached is not a promise anybody can hold us to.

One thing the top-up is not is a guard against you deleting the post. Delete it and the likes go with it, and a new post is a new post: there is nothing to move across. If you are reposting something that did well, start a fresh batch on the new link rather than expecting the old one to follow.
